About EMILIO_20_Bold
Emilio_20_Bold is an altered version of Emilio_20.
EMILIO_20_Bold ships as 36 pre-digitized glyphs. Each letter is a set of satin columns with its stitch direction, underlay and pull compensation already decided by the person who drew it — the same reason a real embroidery font beats converting a desktop typeface, where the outline is only a shape and something has to guess at the stitching.
What size to stitch it at
The font was digitized at 49mm cap height. Treat that as the size it looks best at, and scale within roughly half to double it without worrying. It is a large face, so it is happiest as a single word or a monogram rather than a line of small text; shrinking it far below its design size will pinch the narrow parts of each letter.
What it is good for
EMILIO_20_Bold is built for initials rather than sentences. Monogram faces put their detail into single letters, which is exactly wrong for a paragraph and exactly right on a towel, robe or bag.
Downloading EMILIO_20_Bold as a stitch file
There is nothing to install. Type your text in the text generator, set the height, arch the baseline if you want a curve, and export.
