Néon blinking ships as 642 pre-digitized glyphs. Each letter is a set of satin columns with its stitch direction, underlay and pull compensation already decided by the person who drew it — the same reason a real embroidery font beats converting a desktop typeface, where the outline is only a shape and something has to guess at the stitching.
What size to stitch it at
The font was digitized at 40mm cap height. Treat that as the size it looks best at, and scale within roughly half to double it without worrying. It is a large face, so it is happiest as a single word or a monogram rather than a line of small text; shrinking it far below its design size will pinch the narrow parts of each letter.
What it is good for
Néon blinking is a general-purpose face — the safe choice for legibility, and the most forgiving on knits, pique and performance fabric where a fussier font distorts.
